Lake Louise is the largest single ski area in Canada. The field hosts stunning scenery and has reliable snow. You will find few queues at Lake Louise. Located in the heart of historic Banff National Park, Lake Louise is a world class ski-area in a World Heritage site.
The base of Lake Louise is at 5350 feet (1631m) and has a vertical rise of 3250 feet (991m). The top of the field is at 8650 feet (2637m) and the field hosts 1700 hectares of skiable terrain, more than enough for a week. The longest run is 8 kilometres (5 miles) and the field has 139 marked runs plus the back bowls.
The field is suited for a variety of capabilities with 25% suitable for beginners, 45% suited to intermediates and 30% of the terrain more suited for advanced riders/skiers. Activities are organised for the whole family including dog sledding, skating and torchlight parades. Lake Louise offers complete on-hill facilities including daycare and Kinderski.
