The United States first ski lift, a rope tow was installed in Woodstock, Vermont in 1934.
Vermont is on the eastern side of the United States.
The base of Stowe, Vermont is at 1280 ft (390m) and the top is at 3640ft (1109m). The field is best for skiers and snowbaorders of all standards. The temperatures are low as is necessary for a field at this low level.
