The field is great for beginners, snowboarders and families. Steamboat is one of the Colorado fields, located at the foot of Rabbit Ears Pass in Routt County in the North West. There is a three and a half hour drive from Denver.
The top of the field is 10568ft (3221m) and the base of the field is at 6900ft (2103m). The skiable, rideable terrain at Steamboat covers 2939 acres. This is a very popular field with snowboarders and great to build up your skills. The field covers 2939 acres over five mountains. At Steamboat you will also find extensive snowmaking.
